A great recreational retreat or second home location with the White Mountains as a scenic backdrop. Just a few miles east of Mount Chocorua Scenic Area and directly adjacent to Madison Boulder Natural Area. A prominent ridge, accessible only by foot, offers a sweeping view of Mount Chocorua, Silver Lake and several peaks to the north. There is a brook with small waterfalls and a small beaver pond. The upper two thirds of the parcel and either side of the interior road in the lower third appear conducive to building. Forest is a mix of eastern hemlock, white pine and a variety of hardwoods dominated by red oak and followed by sugar maple, red maple and birch. The forest was thinned within the past year, leaving an even distribution of trees across two thirds of the property. In the lower half of the property, west of the prominent ridge, a patch cut was conducted, leaving saplings and pole-size stems, and opening up an outstanding view of Mount Chocorua.
